BEACON ARC

The story begins with Team JSPR, formed after a harrowing Atlas Academy 'Initiation' test.Jasper Quartz, the leader from Atlas and son of one of the two biggest companies in Atlas, hiding he's a cat Faunus and struggling to overcome the death of his mom that he blames himself for, and become a Huntsman to make up for her loss.Ashe Sparks, a wise warrior from Vacuo who's fought tooth and nail to rise above her past of being taken from her family and become a Huntsman capable of saving others from the fate she's endured.Percy Cliff, a technologically gifted boy from the family that used to command Atlas before the Great War who lost his father and his arms in a horrific sabotage car bombing, striving to become a Huntsman and make a name for himself all on his own.And Rowan Everstone, a great fighter from the sands of Vacuo that works to become a Huntsman one day in the hopes of finding his sister, the only family he has left after she was kidnapped and he was left for dead in the desert.

Making it through the first semester was a breeze, mostly, and Team JSPR was excited to make it to Vale for the Vytal Tournament alongside their friends: Team BAZL.Meadow Bloom, or more preferably just 'Bloom', is a very shy bookworm girl from Mistral who remains incredibly closed off about her past- For the most part, other than the fact she once used to help her family run an inn, and that she wants to become a Huntress to protect the innocent.Amethyst Quartz, Jasper's twin sister and an incredibly confident swordsman aims to become a Huntress and become just as great as her Mom once was, but struggles with helping her emotional brother along the way.Zephyr Garnet, an already powerful scythe-wielder with a strangely good ability to wield his weapon, secretly works alongside a mysterious villianess Dr.Fontaine to achieve some goal- With the sights aimed directly on Jasper and Amethyst.Lily Verne, a jokester from Menagerie yearns to become a Huntress and see the world- Most especially Vacuo, where her family is from and she's incredibly curious about learning.

The first semester was a lot, even after finishing their quite difficult Initiation test. Adjusting to Academy life was something else for all of them: Getting up much earlier than most of them were used to, adjusting to a pretty strict, militant dorm and handling a heavy load of classes both mental and physical- Thankfully, there was plenty of staff around to help:Professor Ruben Desmond, an extremely intense combat instructor, with seemingly high standards and a fairly loaded history with Winter Schnee and the Schnee family as a whole, including the late Nicholas Schnee.Professor Aurora Borealis, an incredibly intelligent woman with not the best combat prowess but enough intellect to take down any brawn.Stephanie Santiago, the Head of Staff for Atlas Academy and the main contact between the students and the fairly elusive and busy General Ironwood.

Members of both JSPR and BAZL, with a few overlaps here and there, had plenty of experiences across their first semester: On their first day, Jasper made so many mistakes trying to be a leader when Bloom pulled him aside, reassuring him that while they're ALL learning to be teams, he and Bloom are also having to learn to be leaders on top of it; Later, when Jasper finds out Rowan is struggling with classes, he vows to help tutor his teammate when Rowan suggests he might just drop out; While researching Vale for the upcoming Vytal Festival, Ashe stumbles across a fairly upsetting ad that reminds her of her traumatic past and accidently takes it out on Lily- Who reassures that she understands and that Ashe doesn't have to explain anything until she wants to, which helps calm Ashe down to continue researching unbothered by her past; Percy goes for a walk through Atlas, and accidently stumbles right into Penny Polendina, who gives Percy a parting gift from Dr.Pietro Polendina, who Percy has a rough history with: Percy's father's journal.While Percy delves into the journal, Ashe and Rowan conspire to help distract Jasper from the fact its the anniversary of his mom passing away- After all, Jasper has been so much happier and less bothered lately, which is a big change from the start of the semester- They don't want him to feel upset again, so they distract him with a mini-mission down in Mantle on a patrol alongside Team FNKI members Neon Katt and Flynt Coal, and a last minute arrival from Lily Verne. On their patrol, a Dust shop ends up catching fire and while Jasper, Ashe and Rowan try handling the situation along with Neon and Flynt, they end up getting aid from Robyn Hill and her Happy Huntresses.Lily points out Jasper should help with his Semblance since he's out of Dust, but Jasper says he can't do it when Robyn- His personal hero- says that he has to try. Which he does, and manages to succeed from a strange burst of power as he pulls the air out of the shop and manages to choke the fire. Before JSPR left, Robyn gave him some meaningful advice about being a team leader and the sacrifices it takes for his team and the people he's training to protect. He was actually feeling good- Which Jasper wasn't used to feeling. No anxiety, no regret, just happiness.But when they got back to their dorm, Jasper noticed he missed the day his mom passed away, and broke down from the guilt and anguish, so much so that his semblance went crazy and created a miniature hurricane in their dorm room.Everyone, both the students and teachers alike, were unsure what to do until Meadow Bloom stepped forward and revealed more to her Semblance than meets the eye: The ability to connect minds together. Quickly after, Rowan volunteered to help his leader as Ashe and Percy quickly followed to do the same. Using Amethyst's Charm Semblance, Rowan, Ashe and Percy dove into Jasper's mind- But first, having to each overcome their own deepest trauma and pain to get through to Jasper.Rowan overcoming the day he lost his sister Roana to a kidnapper named Ms.Piper, giving him a scar and leaving him to die in the desert before he got found by his guardian Myrtle, knowing he can't blame himself but to keep working to not only make her proud but to save her one day;Ashe overcoming the day she got taken from her family at a very young age, and went on to go wild with her powerful Semblance and kill her fellow captives, including friends she made... Knowing that you can't control everything, and that even though you feel like something is your fault, sometimes things are just out of your control;And Percy overcoming the day he lost his father in a car bombing, and having spent his whole life blaming his Father's best friend, Dr.Pietro Polendina, for going through with the P.E.N.N.Y. Project despite his father dying having wished against it, at least that's what Percy thought until that day when he learned the truth that his father was going to support Pietro in the end. Percy finally accepted that sometimes you blame the wrong people, and a lot of times things are just out of your control and can't be helped.Having all overcome their pain, they came together and lived through the day Jasper lost his mom while she was on a mission: Jasper was playing games, and a bandit came in and grabbed him. Azalea tried to fend them off, but they managed to get a lucky shot and gave her a mortal wound before getting taken down.Jasper, being given the advice his team learned through their own struggles, finally managed to let go and move on. But, before they were done, Jasper told them about one last thing from that day that confused him: A strange mysterious power that manifested in elemental powers and a colored flame that shined from her eyes.JSPR started to research everything they could to find out more, as Jasper accidentally took a trip down memory lane as he remembered a trip he took to Mistral to learn about his Mother's past and ended up temporarily being a member of the White Fang, having taken up his Mother's title as the Shepherd to better hide his identity.

When Jasper was rocked back to reality, he knew he couldn't tell his team... Not yet. So, he pressed on and continued helping his team research.But as JSPR tried researching about his Mother's mysterious powers, as well as Ms.Piper in the hopes of finding Rowan's sister, they kept coming up with dead ends... And all the while, Zephyr- One of their very own teammates and supposed friends, continued to follow Dr.Fontaine as the two conspired with some other followers of Salem to take down Beacon Academy- As well as pursue a mysterious goal that centered around Amethyst and Jasper, and involved their late mother: Azalea Quartz.

Right after arriving at Beacon, JSPR started exploring the school before running into- Quite literally- Team RWBY, who Jasper seemed to know them- Weiss he knew from being the son of the rival company to the SDC, Blake he knew from having run into her several times during his White Fang stunts as the Shepherd, but Yang and Ruby were different.He quickly introduced his team to his cousins, Ruby Rose and Yang Xiao Long, along with their team.

While JSPR and BAZL traveled to Vale for the Vytal Festival, Winter Schnee was called on by General Ironwood to investigate a serial killer that's been a problem for Atlas, and mainly Mantle, for a long time- But has recently become active again: The Jade Serpent.As she continued researching and digging, she couldn't help but find little to nothing. The Serpent was a highly skilled killer, never having a victim survive the attack to live and tell about it. And things only got worse as the Jade Serpent went so far as to call Winter herself. The Serpent knew Winter was after her, and threatened the Special Operative to stop or face further consequences. Winter was confused- What could that mean? When she was sent a video feed and saw as her colleague Stephanie Santiago was attacked by the Serpent live.Winter raced to the scene, her emotions racing as just the other day Stephanie accidently revealed she has feelings for Winter and running off before Winter could even think to reply. Regardless of how Winter felt, she didn't want Stephanie to die. As she raced, she watched Stephanie put up a surprising fight- Having been training after many suggestions by Winter in the past. But it wasn't enough, as Winter raced to the scene just in time to find Stephanie bleeding out on the floor as The Jade Serpent smugly called out to her from the apartment window, threatening Winter's family next before leaping away into the darkness.

While Winter mourned, down in Vale Jasper and Amethyst took the opportunity to have a little get-together with their cousins as they stopped for lunch at a small cafe in Vale. They talked about their moms, Azalea and Summer, and ended up mentioning their Aunt Thorne, who Ruby and Yang barely remember, who mention their Uncle Qrow, who Amethyst and Jasper can barely remember.They're then interrupted by Jasper and Amethyst's dad, Wynn Quartz, walking by- Who the twins didn't even know was in Vale. Amethyst talks so freely and easily with their father, as Jasper nervously takes a step back, showing unease and tension as he remembers years of Amethyst and Wynn getting along so well, while he had Azalea... Until she passed away, and he became a third wheel in his family.

Back at Beacon, Ironwood meets with a mysterious woman at night, who is revealed to be Azalea and Summmer's sister Thorne Rose.

The two talk, as Ironwood starts to get angry with Thorne for having stayed out of the loop for so long, only coming back when it's 'necessary'- When Thorne points out she warned the General about the Jade Serpent, and that he shouldn't have underestimated a follower of Salem.This causes James to finally break as he tells Thorne that the Atlas military will be prosecuting her for her vigilante activity outside of Huntsman duties, while the two not notice the masked peeper watching them from afar.

The next evening, members of JSPR found themselves conflicting on different ways to 'relax' in Vale- Jasper had planned for a quiet night in with the team, but finds himself getting dragged out to a club in downtown Vale to party the night away. Meanwhile, in the dorm, Rowan is left alone with his thoughts- Before those thoughts get quickly interrupted by Amethyst dropping by on her way to train with the rest of BAZL(and Percy joining in for extra training). Rowan is confused until Amethyst hands him some papers he left in the BAZL dorm when their teams last studied together, and Rowan immediately gets flustered as he notices the papers he was absent mindedly sketching Jasper of were left on top, when Rowan lets her in on his secret: He's crushing on the team leader.Jasper, on the other side of the Kingdom, tries to have fun with Ashe at the club with them both dressed to impress- But notices she seems off. He tries to pry, but she immediately pokes back by noticing Jasper is a little off himself, where he finally confesses that Ashe's hopes for a night of romantic flings aren't going to happen. Jasper has dated around before, and it's never worked out, and he reminds her that they still have a lot to worry about with Azalea and Rowan's sister.Ashe disagrees, emphasizing how amazing Jasper is and that he'll find someone just as good- And he can't get help, he has to figure it out himself. As the two enjoy their drinks, Jasper tosses a sly comment about bringing someone home when she teases back that she already has someone in mind closer to home already. Before Jasper could question it, they're interrupted by a strange man sitting beside them- Unbeknownst to the pair being Tyrian Callows. It isn't long before he reveals he knows a disturbing amount about the both of them, when a fight quickly breaks out. Before the fight could fully conclude, an unseen party calls Tyrian away as Jasper and Ashe are left with a trashed club and their worries skyrocketing.The next day JSPR reunites to discuss what happened at the club as they're all left pretty speechless and worried.

They start connecting the dots left behind by Tyrian- Who knew not only Jasper, but their hunt for information about Azalea and Ms.Piper. Meaning, little or not, the two are connected by something bigger.But before they could worry about that, they had one more big thing to worry about- the Amity Ball, which was already stressful enough without all this lingering over them. As they made their way down dressed up for the evening, Jasper is pulled aside by a familiar face- Blake Belladonna, a girl he met not only as his cousin Ruby's teammate, but originally during his time in the White Fang.Blake tries to pry about what a member of the Fang is at the Ball when Jasper quickly shushes her, reassuring her that he was never really a member and hasn't had any contact with the White Fang for a long time, and to keep it between the both of them for the time being. Blake reluctantly agrees, but only after Jasper agrees to talk with her about the situation- BEFORE the Tournament.Back inside, all sorts of things are happening with several different people- Students and Huntsmen alike.

Up above on the balconies, Amethyst begs Percy again- after several failed previous attempts- for his help with a plan that involves his very specific technokinetic Semblance. He tries to disagree, but just as he tries he notices Penny having a small chat with Ruby, when Percy's walls finally break and he gives in as Amethyst giddily drags him away.Down below Winter stands guard as Dr.Fontaine, in disguise as a Professor from Haven, greets the sour Operative. Winter tries to push back, when Vanya notes that Winter very obviously could use someone to talk to. Winter finally breaks and confides in the Doctor, telling her about Ms.Santiago's tragic end. Dr.Fontaine comforts Winter, helping her out of her funk, and just when she tries to continue buttering up the Professor she gets a call from Zephyr that Thorne Rose was spotted nearby. The Doctor quickly snaps back at Zephyr, telling him to handle it, before returning to butter up the Schnee.Handling his own confused emotions, Rowan looks around the ballroom for a moment before finally finding Lily sitting glum in a corner with a cup of punch. Rowan tries to ask for advice, given she's always so confident, when she snaps back with her own struggles of confidence. This causes Rowan to give into Amethyst's plan as he quickly fills Lily in on the details.Right outside the Ballroom, Thorne stealthily patrols the sides before coming face to face with the hooded menace of Zephyr disguised. Zephyr, fighting without his scythe instead with some blades he's far less trained in, is quickly taken down by the Huntress. She tries to pry him for information when they're both spotted by Atlas Military soldiers when they scatter. Thorne tries to follow, but knows she has to split up or risk being caught by the soldiers and given a punishment she'd rather not fathom.The guards are forced to make a choice and break off from the Rose to instead follow Zephyr who quickly tears off his disguise and blends into the crowd of attendees.

Back inside the Ball, Jasper and Ashe chat amongst themselves in a secluded corner as the two continue to joke around by pestering Jasper with his love life and Ashe's need to butt her head in. Finally, Jasper promises to tell her first if anything happens... Right before Amethyst hijacks the calmer ballroom music into a pop jam as the crowd begins to dance more enthusiastically.Rowan tries to ask Jasper to dance, when Jasper pulls Rowan to dance instead, clearly more friendly than anything but Rowan doesn't argue as the teams all pair up and start dancing together. Finally Lily comes forward and nervously asks Ashe to dance, who eagerly agrees in a very blatantly more romantic fashion as the two join the rest of their friends on the dance floor.Dr.Fontaine, having grown bored of talking with Winter, breaks off and finally executes her own plan as the crowd grows distracted. She whips out a small device, scanning the crowd when a small sliver of Maiden power is detected within Amethyst, as Dr.Fontaine grins wide with her eyes fixated on the girl as she sings on the stage.

The next day the group enjoys their last freetime before the classes pickup in preparation of the Tournament. They head down to Vale and split up to explore: Jasper, Rowan, Amethyst and Bloom in one group and Lily, Ashe, Zephyr and Percy in another.After they break off, Bloom shortly notices as a powerful mind follows them as she leads them into an alleyway to try and escape
enjoying their last free time before classes start back up in preparation for the Vytal Tournament, come together and split up to explore Vale. Jasper, Rowan, Amethyst and Bloom group up and head off- Unknowingly being followed until Bloom notices minds following them as they quickly rush down an alley. Just as they start pulling out their weapons, Dr.Fontaine makes fun of the children for failing to pull an actually believable bluff by ducking down the alley.They're then confront by Dr.Fontaine, with assistance from The Jade Serpent and Neopolitan. Dr.Fontaine reveals their after the slivers of Maiden Power that Azalea accidentally passed onto Amethyst genetically.Jasper goes to attack Dr.Fontaine, but is swiftly stopped by Fontaine's right hand, the serial killer Jade Serpent. As Rowan tries to retaliate, he's knocked back by Neopolitan- temporarily brought along by Dr.Fontaine for extra protection and assistance.

Dr.Fontaine, the Jade Serpent and Neopolitan swiftly took down the students- Leaving only Bloom and Amethyst standing as the trio of villianesses surround Amethyst to take her... But Bloom managed to use her Semblance to take the villains down with pounding headaches- Save for the Doctor, who somehow managed to keep herself unharmed but knew with a Semblance like Bloom's it wouldn't be hard for the students to gain the upper hand, as she decides to retreat....But not before leaving Amethyst with at least a hundred thousand questions, and the next day they were quickly addressed, alongside Jasper, with Professor Ozpin of Beacon and General Ironwood himself.They assure her they'd have more explanations for her after the tournament, but the situation about the Maidens and this 'Dr.Fontaine' is a rapidly worsening problem that the details have to remain under wraps- Which Amethyst doesn't like one bit.

Even still, she begrudgingly agrees after reminding the Headmasters the harsh memory of Amethyst's mother before the twins make their way back down to tell their teams about the situation before being shipped off for their 'first missions'- With JSPR choosing a mission outside the Kingdom while shadowing a Huntsman to try and get a more calm experience after their rocky semesters.They head out to the docks and find themselves paired up not just with a Huntsman, but another team as well as their very own Professor Borealis from Atlas introduces them to Maya Lupo of Team BRMN from Haven Academy.

As they fly out to their mission spot to meetup with the rest of Maya's team, Maya quickly grows more concerned by the lack of reply from her team. And as the group gets closer, they quickly spot some rubble- Rubble Ashe quickly recognizes as a very familiar part of her life: The school she was trapped in that kept up appearances as an average school, but instead was training kidnapped little girls to flawlessly serve Ms.Piper and her agenda of attaining power and status.

The longer they linger, the more Ashe and Rowan get upset as their own individual memories come flooding back- Rowan remembering Ms.Piper and losing his sister to her, and Ashe remembering her past and the mistakes she made here.They don't get to linger long as the rest of Maya's team is quickly found- Beaten and bruised, and not long before a Banshee Grimm comes to strike.

Professor Borealis protects and tends to the injured, while JSPR and Maya prepare to fend off the Banshee when Jasper takes charge and uses a new exploration of his Semblance to quickly strike the Grimm with small condensed storms that swirl around his fists.As he beats it back, the Banshee shrieks as some Beowolves come to it's aid- Jasper handling the Banshee as the rest of the students fight off the Beowolves, and it's not long before all the Grimm are defeated... As Maya questions how such meager opponents could've taken down her team, when one of her teammates Royale Burlón, confirms it wasn't a Grimm- But a person.And the assailant quickly reveals herself, the very same masked girl who spied on Thorne and Ironwood some time ago, who reveals herself as a former friend of Ashe, who always thought Ashe would stick by her. She was so attached to her, that her nickname of 'Ashe's Echo' stuck as her own name... Echo.She uses her Semblance to make Ashe's teammates live the day Ashe regrets most: When she burned down the school and went on a rampage with her Semblance, killing most of the people there, captive or not... Ashe, all this time, thinking she killed her but instead scarred her face and left her near death when Ms.Piper collected her and saved her life.

Echo reveals to Ashe that she wasn't forced to stay by Ms.Piper- quite the opposite. Ms.Piper even allowed her to leave- Only to realize that those scars had left her unwanted by many- Any would be families left unsettled by her appearance, until she returned to Ms.Piper as a loyal subject.Rowan cuts in, demanding to know about his sister, as Echo quickly realizes who he's talking about, and who he is. Echo reveals she met Roana years ago- And haven't seen her since. As she pokes fun to Rowan at the idea she could very well be dead, he loses it and tries to fire one of his gauntlet's blades at her, missing and only cracking the corner of her mask.Echo then reveals her mission: Kill all of the people here, as she then reveals her Semblance- The ability to echo anything that's taken place where she stands, as she summons Echoes of JSPR and Maya to attack the group, as Ashe rushes up to fight Echo herself.As both fights struggle, Ashe finally gives in and breaks the promise she made to herself to not use her Semblance until she knew she'd be able to keep herself from losing control...And it's very clear she does lose control.But giving in to the fire within, she's able to take back control, no longer fearing what's just a piece of herself. While the rest of JSPR and Maya tend to her, Rowan grabs a hold of Echo before she can escape.Echo reveals that the 'Kingdom' she comes from, the Queen she serves, all of it views men as nothing more than pigs- But Echo knows better than to assume every single man is irreparable, and is actually rooting for Rowan to find his sister, Roana.Rowan begs her for any information she has, when Echo denies him- Saying that he has his own journey to make before fleeing through a portal.As the teams make their way back to Beacon, Ashe can't help but look back one more time- This time, with a smile and hope for the future.

Chapter 1 and 2 Synopses

Chapter 1 // Onward:
JRM arrives in Mistral, as the newly formed team has a decent heart to heart about their situation, and Jasper reveals something he took before they left; Dr.Fontaine makes a call to Wynn, informing him of the current situation and plan, before the conversation derails after the mention of a certain copper-haired boy.Chapter 2 // Responsibility
With Wynn under the weather, Amethyst is forced to take over a newly announced highly important party for the Council, and does her best to seek out someone she thought she could rely on any time while Winter is summoned by the General to discuss a very specific and unique problem desperately hunting across Atlas and Mantle for information.

'Onward'

JRM leaving Argus, Fontaine talking with the other members of WVRNstart with Dr.Fontaine walking through Evernight castle halls, Zephyr and Nadia waiting for her along with a seer for Wynn.Vanya greets the group as Wynn asks about whats going on, complaining about his faked medical complication.Vanya talks about Nadia staying to train Zephyr more in preparation for their strike after Haven on Shade, while Reyna watches over Leonardo Lionheart with now the assistance of Dr.Watts, while Cinder recovers.Zeph is nervous the whole timeSwitch back to JRM as Jas and the crew ride the Argus Limited to Mistral, as Jasper spots something suspicious before sneaking onto the roof of the train and locking eye contact with a girl before he gets called down, skewing off to the girls pov as she gets in range of Mistral comms and calls Father. "It's true. She's back."End chapter back with JRM as the group gets close to Mistral and Jas notices rowan clutching onto his neckerchief. Too heavy to wear, Jas snatches it out of his hand and ties it around his own neck as Rowan gets flustered and Bloom chuckles.Jas pulls them into a group hug, "I wouldn't have wanted to do this with anyone else, guys. 'Responsibility'

Amethyst struggles with responsibility, has talk with Winter, who looks at warrants for Percy's arrest.Start with Amethyst as she talks to her father about what to do, and that the company itself can handle most of its own operation, but a special request from the Council is for the Crystal Cat to host a gala after the fiasco that was the Schnee Charity Ball. She heads to Atlas Academy for advice, and instead of Stephanie Santiago instead runs into Professor Borealis and Winter.After talking with them follow Winter as she's summoned by the General and they have a talk about Percy Cliff and his descent into self destruction hunting for Penny Polendina's killers as Winter gets an idea while looking at the Crystal Cat Gala flyer.End chapter with Azalea reminiscing on her school years and her team falling apart due to her Maiden training. Jasper gets pulled out of reading by Bloom calling on him for training as he nervously sets down the book while his thoughts drift to Ashe and Percy.

'Islands'

Ashe arrives in Menagerie, and things quickly go south.Ashe rides on the ship and sees Sun and Blake fighting the sea serpent as she tries to help but her wound aches as she gets flashes from the fall of beacon. She stows her blade and instead runs off as Sun and Blake take it down.Swap to Amethyst again, holding flowers as she's escorted by Winter who tries to comfort her as they walk in on Lily's medical room, still hooked up to various equipment. Winter notes that even if she survives she'll have sustained great bodily damage, and will have to get extensive body mods like General Ironwood. Amethyst asks about it, but Winter points out that even she doesn't know how he got those wounds, that he refuses to say, emphasizing that if Lily does pull through she'll need a great deal of support to continue on.Switch back to Ashe who arrives at a hut with a name plate outside 'VERNE'. Ashe knocks and cut to her sitting at the table getting tea as Lily's mom dotes on her as her aunt walks in and furiously glares at Ashe before walking out as Lily's mom points out that Lily's fathers sister has had a deeply rooted hatred of humanity ever since her brother died, blaming all of them for their terrible situations in Menagerie.

'Reunited'

JRM is reunited with CRAL and BRMN, and Percy runs into Winter Schnee.JRM arrives in Mistral as Bloom gets excited to rest in a traditional inn before having her hopes shattered at the very culturally lacking inn, looking more like an Atlas home. Jasper notes that this inn is cheaper, and is more for Atlas tourists who prefer the comforts of home. They get settled in as Bloom walks out to try and call Haven Academy while Jas and Rowan relax and talk about the journey.Bloom peeks back in, "Bad news.""What do you mean they won't see us?!" Jasper angrily cries out. Bloom explains the school is on lockdown due to lack of staff after the tragedy of the Fall of Beacon and no new admissions or visits are permitted.Rowan nervously points out they don't have a ton of money left outside of food and keeping a roof over their heads, and need to see the Headmaster asap.Jasper smirks as he says he has an idea.Swap back to Atlas as Percy runs down an alleyway, snapping his fingers as cameras go offline and drones turn away. He's stunned as he comes across a gift basket with his name on it in the hands of a now offline drone, with clothes and food. Tears drip down Percy's face as he snaps the drone online, "Leave me alone! I've caused enough problems, it's time I fixed some of them. If you won't help me find who killed her then just GO AWAY!" He says before ripping the drone's head off, cliffhang on Pietro sighing at a frozen screen displaying the last frame of Percy attacking the drone.

'Worthless'

JRM trains and vents their frustrations as Maya explains some things. Zephyr is berated yet again by both Dr.Fontaine and Wynn before Nadia escorts him out.Start with JRM traveling through a tunnel as Bloom points out this is a bad plan. Jasper huffs, "Mistral is chock full of Dust, even this close to the Kingdom. Most of the good, rich stuff got mined a long time ago but if we're lucky we can find some of the scraps and-""....keep ourselves afloat?" Bloom says as Jasper nervously agrees. Rowan calms the group down as they spot a fire Dust glow as they run for it only to run out of the tunnel as a flurry of Grimm bats fly out."Okay.... I think we head home and think of a plan b?"Bloom angrily huffs and storms off as Jasper and Rowan lock eyes with concern.Switch to Zephyr slicing at Nadia with his scythe as Nadia dodges with ease, teasing him lightly as she comments on his attacks. Zephyr throws his scythe down in rage as it plants the blade in the floor, demanding why Nadia doesn't berate him like Dr.Fontaine or Wynn. Nadia takes a deep breath, noticing his messy hair and waving him along as she finds a rock big enough for a chair as he sits down and tells him a story."A long time ago, there was a scared little boy scurrying through the streets of Mantle. Many orphans are abandoned there, especially Faunus, like this little wretched boy with horrific fangs protruding from his jaw. One day he's found by a powerful man who gathers the little Faunus and gives them purpose, food, clothes.....""I'm guessing this is another story about raising child killers?""Hush. Now, that little boy grew up into a powerful young woman. It was not strength that made her powerful, but her mind. This woman was a mastermind of death, able to think her way around any foe and find the quickest most ruthless ways to kill. One day, her fellow rescued souls turned against her, thinking she's gotten too powerful for her own good. And when that very powerful man that gave her life, came back to find she had killed every other one of his children, his Zodiac. And so he threatened her, he too tried to take her power. 'Stand down! You'd be nothing without me! Worthless!'"Nadia laughs, "But it was not her, who was worthless. It was those who dared tried to hold her down, think that without them she holds no power. Do you know why I told you this story, Zephyr?""...To tell me I'm not worthless?"Nadia chuckles as she grips Zephyr's shoulders, "....I have a mission for you, my little kindred soul. Ever since Wynn has returned, both him and Vanya have been casting me aside.""I'm not able to kill either of them, if that's what you're getting at.""Ahahahah.... No, no. I know Vanya has been working on a secret little project since the Fall of Beacon, something about using Watts' stolen data from Ironwood's Scroll. I want you to find out about it, and report back to me." She says handing him a keycard."Won't Dr.Fontaine kill me if she finds out?""I'll be handling that."Zephyr bolts up, "Why are you even doing this? I thought you and Fontaine were inseperable."Nadia's face grows dark, "I thought so too. Years ago, Wynn, Vanya and I were ever so close together. But over time, they've little by little been having their own 'close moments' without me. I won't be pushed out, I won't be worthless..... Not unless I take them down with me."Zephyr raises an eyebrow, 'And you actually trust that I'll do this? What, are you gonna kill me if I don't?"Nadia chuckles, "Did you not pay attention to my story, little one? For years I've raised you like my own. Trained you. I see some of myself in you...." Nadia cups his cheek, "...And whoever you turn out to be, I want that person to flourish. Not be so heavily stunted like Vanya and Wynn wish. To serve their ends. For the only ones we can trust to look out for ourselves..... Is us." End with Zephyr looking down at the keycard.

'Monster'

Nadia has a talk with Zephyr, before he goes down into Dr.Fontaine's secret lab and meets Vanya's biggest project. Ashe struggles to maintain her composure in Menagerie, despite the Chieftain's blessing to stayStart with JRM coming home after the failed mission as Rowan runs after a fuming Bloom while Jasper pulls out Azalea's journal again, this time Azalea recapping her mission to Mistral."I remember the mission that changed everything. Ozpin sent me off to Mistral to check in with Leonardo, when I got quite a big sidetracked on the way.I ended up getting captured with a rather sour woman by bandits, but I managed to get us out and she finally told me her name. She said, 'I'm Sienna Khan.' I didn't know at the time I'd be fighting side by side with a member of the White Fang, but looking back on it now her distrust of me made more sense- and I couldn't really blame her, either. I've seen firsthand just how horrible humans treat Faunus, and yet somehow people are surprised that after mankind crammed Faunus on one tiny isolated island, they'd band together to make a force to fight back." add more laterEnd with Zephyr sneaking down to Fontaine's lab, coming face to face with a strange half-functional robot named Frankie. Zephyr eventually leaves but not before he takes one last look at Frankie.

'Gala'

Amethyst is forced to attend a gala to try and keep the public calm. Amethyst talks with Winter, while Winter has a somewhat polite dance with Robyn Hill.Amethyst hosts the gala as the POV jumps around little by little, from Amethyst and Professor Borealis to Winter and Robyn Hill, then finally to Percy sneaking through security to the Crystal Cat 'Combative Research' Division lab, and coming face to face with Pietro again.
